Reformation and Revolution

In Season 1 Episode 2 we initially talk about the Democratic debates that were going on at the time of recording. From there we move into the topic where we spend some time in the 16th-18th centuries discussing major events from the Protestant Reformation to the American and French Revolutions. Our focus is understanding how and in what context these events took place, and what impact they might have for us today. We explore the idea of the human condition and the consequences of that in both secular and religious viewpoints. Theological ideas of the time as well as political structures they operated in.
